Hi, my name is Bill. I first came to know Jesus in my twenties while serving in the Navy. Long before that, my mother faithfully prayed for me and kept me in church, planting seeds of faith that would take years to bloom. Like many young men, I spent time wandering and “sowing my wild oats,” but during those Navy years, Christ reached out, opened my eyes, and drew me into His Kingdom.
Since then, my walk with the Lord hasn’t always been a straight line. I’ve made mistakes, stumbled, and had to return time and again to His forgiveness and grace. Through it all, one constant has remained: I find my strength, comfort, and renewal in the Word of God.
After leaving the Navy, I was deeply influenced by the quiet example of my stepfather. Every single morning, I would see him at the kitchen table with his Bible and a cup of coffee. That image of peaceful devotion stayed with me, and it eventually became my own lifelong habit. For many years now, I’ve started my days in that same stillness—reading Scripture and drawing near to the Father before the world starts calling.
Now in retirement, and after walking through serious health challenges, including a battle with cancer, I find myself leaning on God’s Word more than ever.
My joy is found in keeping that morning tradition alive. As I sit with my coffee and the Word, I write short reflections on what the Father is teaching me. These writings are my way of sharing His grace with you, serving as a daily reminder that no matter where we’ve wandered or what we’ve faced, God’s mercies truly are new every morning.

Now Available: A Son’s Love — Daily Reflection – The Book of John
A Son’s Love invites you to continue your journey through the Gospel of John, shifting from the foundational trust of a child to the powerful testimony of those who walked in the Light. This second volume of daily reflections explores the profound reality of Jesus as the Word made flesh—the one who offers life that the darkness cannot overcome.
Written with a pastoral heart and a storyteller’s eye, these devotions bridge the gap between ancient scripture and modern struggle. Whether you are seeking clarity in a season of darkness or looking to strengthen your witness for the Kingdom, these pages offer a steady, encouraging hand.
Each daily reflection follows your trusted, quiet-time format:
- The Word: A focused passage from the Gospel of John to ground your thoughts.
- The Heart: A personal reflection that brings the life of Jesus into the reality of your daily walk.
- The Deep: Probing questions designed to help you examine your own faith and focus.
- The Prayer: A guided moment of surrender and conversation with the Father.
These 90 days will challenge you to stop looking at the “easy paths” of others and listen for the Savior’s specific command to you: “Follow Me.” From the first light of creation to the final testimony of the beloved disciple, rediscover the hope that comes when you truly believe that the story of Jesus is still being written in your life today.
Open your eyes to the Light. Embrace the Life He gives. Step into the story—one day at a time.
